it just dawned on me that if you send yourself an email, just a random email, it means that at least one person out there thinks your important enough to send an email to.

on mistakes

i believe i have never made a mistake in my life.
i have, however, made some choices that havent always been the smartest, nor have they always been the dumbest.
im sure people that know me wont agree with me on this statement, but hell, they aint here to argue about it.

why is it wrong too……………………..

why is it wrong to pinch just some random woman on the butt? it might make all parties involved feel good.

why is it wrong to scream out dirty words at people on the street as your driving past them? nothing negative, just a dirty word or two.

why is it wrong to go to your friends house just to use the can? no hello good bye kiss my ass or nothing. just a knock on the door and a run to the can.

well, thats actually not so wrong. thats better than the alternative.

why is it wrong to call up 911 to tell them that “no, this isnt an emergency. my pizza arrived cold as hell and i want to report it to the proper official”?

why is it just plain wrong for justin beaver to have a child? and then on top of that why is it wrong to have a justin beaver?

why is it wrong to NOT say good morning in the morning? i mean, who cares?

why is it wrong to watch porn? i mean, who doesnt?

why is it wrong to tell someone that no one really likes them and they kind of smell weird?

why is it wrong to scream out “vino de la casa” at the top of your lungs no matter where you are? even in the bank or the store or the hospital?

 

 

 

Executions in America

having the idea in any society that it is a good idea to take the life of another human being because that human took the life of another human, is an absolutely terrible idea. especially in america were being alive and being absolutely right in wanting to be alive is what we are made of and why other people from around the world come to america. to be alive and live life how we know it.

executions in america are wrong.

to still believe in an era where “an eye for an eye” is the only way to solve a problem is wrong in this point of time. let me ask this: isnt the idea of punishing someone for a crime or something of the like, supposed to make them learn a lesson? what is learned by the person that is executed before they learn the lesson that they are supposed to learn? some times it takes people their entire life to learn a lesson, as im constantly being reminded of………………….anyway, we americans have a judicial system that has become more and more known around the world and more and more known among our own people, especially among our own  people!, that how we determine the innocence of a person is flawed.

yes – i do admit that this judicial system is what it is and its what we got and i should probably vote and perhaps my vote alone could change a whole lot. it is what it is.i do admit this.

but isnt it obvious that even if a deciding pool of people or person, convict a person of murder, sentence that person to death, that person gets executed, and then in the future that person is discovered as being innocent, that the system is flawed? even just one person?

personally, i believe that the taking of a human life, even in times of war or trauma or stress or defense, tells me that the person who is taking the life either has an existing mental issue to decide to take a humans life, or that that person will develop a mental issue from taking a human life. i mean, its not really right to kill someone in the first place, right?

its wrong to kill people.

a day in september, 2001

just be still and listen to my story:

i was sleeping on the sofa in the morning before i went to school. i was in college. i had just got out of prison and i had always feared that there would be a time that when i was in prison America would be in a state of need, and i couldnt do any thing to help.

so it happened after i was released.

i have been out of prison for ten years, and we Americans have been in a state of need that entire time. September 11, 2001, to be exact.

i woke up to yelling. ” under attack!” and then “turn the tv on!” all in a very short breath.

i sat up, threw the blanket off, and looked out the window towards Grant Park. there was nothing but blue sky and peace. i didnt see monsters or zombies or parachutes falling out of the sky, which is what i expected. like every normal person would.

but i did see a pair of F-15 fighters fly across the sky. so i turned on the tv.

i watched as the 1st tower was burning like a son of a bitch and then within seconds of that getting my attention, i watched as the next jet FLEW INTO ON PURPOSE! THE SOUTH TOWER!!

and i watched tv as people jumped and threw selves out of the burned out 2nd building. right after the airliner took it down. i watched as  the buildings finally fell to the ground. i watched damn near 3000 of my brothers and sisters die on September 11, 2001.

ten years later i still cry.

but i am free.

and now this is the question: do we remember September 11, 2001 for all the lives-American lives!- lost on that day?

or do we honor that day because our American government let the citizens down by not protecting us to the best of its ability?

and i do ask both these questions because i do want an answer.

and i am an American, and i can ask!
